Dianne “GreenWoman” Wickes is a self-taught artist who works in pen and ink, as well as watercolor. She did her first CD cover for The Yard Dogs, a Pine Island band, and has since done CD art and t-shirt designs for over a dozen trop-rock singers and bands. She has also donated paintings to many event auctions put on by Parrotheads (Jimmy Buffett fans) which have raised thousands of dollars for charities. An avid gardener, Dianne’s online screen name “GreenWoman” became her artist signature while attending MOTM, a large Parrothead convention in Key West, where most of the other attendees knew her from the internet; in 2011 she designed the 20th anniversary logo for the event. Dianne was recently included in the Fort Myers Alliance for the Arts All-Florida juried show, had a painting featured on the cover of the Greater Pine Island Real Estate Guide, and designed the Matlacha flag for the Matlacha Civic Association. Dianne began visiting Matlacha in 2002, and has been a resident of Saint James City for three years. She and her parrot Clancy can often be found in Pine Island venues enjoying live music, while she draws island scenes on cocktail napkins and paper towels
